Automated Price Lookup from STJ retail provides organizations running a supermarket or general sales application environment with the means to scan an item at a kiosk in order to determine its price. Centralized Operator Password Solution
COPS is an optional StoreGazer feature to allow the support staff to manage operator ids and passwords on the store controller from a remote location. COPS provides a mechanism to track users that are logged on the store controller and to report their activities. COPS also has a function for File Change Detection.

Retailers that have a single store controller and no paper journal are exposed if the hard drive crashes. 2ndChance is a solution to mirror important files, such as, the transaction log and the electronic journal to a second hard drive. DAVE is an optional feature of ESCAPE. It provides a pattern search to look for information that appears multiple times in different journals. A typical use is to look for credit card numbers that have been used more than X times in a given time period for returns.

Cashier Performance Analysis
EXCEPTion uses the cashier performance data in the store controller to build a database at headquarters. Cashiers are measured against a set of standards created by the retailer. Performance that is too far from the expected levels is highlighted for action. EXCEPTion also pulls information from the daily transaction log to provide other reports.

KeyManager with EDJCrypt™

EDJ Encryption Module Set
The EDJCrypt modules allow the retailer to protect sensitive data on the electronic journal and in the transaction log. The modules can be used to decrypt that same data when it arrives at a secure location. If account numbers are encrypted using EDJCrypt in electronic journals, ESCAPE has the capability to decrypt them for authorized users.

ESCAPE is used to search through electronic journal files to find data that is useful for sales audit and loss prevention. Any information that is on the journal can be used as a search argument. Transactions are retrieved and presented to the user for further analysis. Search models can be saved and used repeatedly.

Journal Archive Manager
JAM is a Windows utility that processes journal bundles that arrive from the store. JAM opens the bundles and distributes the journals to the proper subdirectories in the journal archive. JAM is also responsible for removing journals that have passed their expiration date. JAM can maintain the archive for over an eight year span.

Time and Attendance for the IBM 4690 POS System
TimeTamer collects clock in and clock out information from cashiers using the POS register as the device. On a weekly basis, a timecard file is prepared to be sent to the payroll system. Cashier schedules can be used to keep cashiers from clocking in or out too early or late.

StoreTotals™

Real Time and Browser Access to Store Totals Data
StoreTotals’ function is to move the accounting totals from the store controller to a SQL database at the head office. Once the database is populated, the retailer can view specialized inquiries to access the data. A real time viewer gives access to the current day information on the store controller.
